District accept letters from participants of Catholic Advocacy Day.
Before
meeting with our local legislators, we met in the Columbia Room in the
State Capitol building. We were joined by Bishop Eusebio Elizondo, M.Sp.S.,
Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Seattle, for prayer, a program,
and a legislative briefing. Participants were briefed on current legislative
issues dealing with matters of health care, low-income housing, child
care and poverty.

IPJC organized a bus to travel to Olympia from Seattle. 53 participants traveled with us down to Olympia to join over 250 people attending 102 appointments with legislators in 34 districts.
