This site provides an excellent diversity of resources
for communities, schools and faith-based groups. It is a national organization
working for political, economic and social justice throughout the African
continent. Africa Action provides information, analysis, and policy advocacy
to support the efforts of Africans themselves to promote human rights,
democracy and development.

on HIV and AIDS
The site includes searchable databases of HIV treatment
and care, worldwide HIV organization listings, and one of the most comprehensive
ranges of patient information available on the web. It also has a featured
section on HIV/AIDS in the current news.
Global
AIDS Alliance (GAA)
GAA has devoted itself to mobilizing the political willand
the financial resources needed to mount a comprehensive response
to the global AIDS pandemic. The offer yearly reports on HIV/AIDS actions,
advocacy and information.
ActionAid
International
Based in Johannesburg, South Africa, this organization
helps organize international networks seeking education for all, trade
justice and action against HIV/AIDS. Action Aid also does a great deal
of work on general poverty issues.
AIDS.org
The mission of AIDS.ORG is to help prevent HIV infections
and to improve the lives of those affected by HIV and AIDS by providing
education and facilitating the free and open exchange of knowledge at
an easy-to-find centralized website.

Volunteer run site promotes African perspectives and alternative analyses for human rights and economic justice in Africa.
IRIN
Plus News
PlusNews is an e-mail and Internet-based HIV/AIDS information
service for sub-Saharan Africa run by the Integrated Regional Information
Networks (IRIN), a news service that forms part of the UN Office for the
Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).
Faith-Based Organizations
Catholic
Relief Services
CRS provides humanitarian relief and development assistance
in 99 countries worldwide. The South Africa focus includes providing direct
service to those with HIV/AIDS, teaching life skills to children, support
policies and programs that will address the reduction of HIV/AIDS.
Africa
Faith and Justice Network
This is a Catholic network of groups supporting grassroots
organizing and advocacy regarding the U.S. policy toward Africa. The site
offers an advocacy and education for transformation network that you can
sign on to receive action alerts and updates.
