American
Civil Liberties Union Immigrants Rights Project
Works to defend the civil and constitutional rights of
immigrants through a comprehensive program of impact litigation and public

Friends Service Committee
A faith based organization working towards social justice,
including immigrant rights. Link to Activists' Guide on Documenting Human
Rights and other useful resources.

Immigration Law Foundation
Works to increase public understanding of immigration policy
and to advancing fundamental fairness under the law for immigrants. Excellent
resource for teachers with a downloadable curriculum.
Catholic
Legal Immigration Network
CLINIC acts aims to enhance and expand delivery of legal
services to indigent and low-income immigrants principally through diocesan
immigration programs and to meet the immigration needs identified by the
Catholic Church in the United States. The network employs roughly 1,200
attorneys and "accredited" paralegals who, in turn, serve 400,000
low-income immigrants each year. CLINIC and its member agencies represent
low-income immigrants without reference to their race, religion, gender,
ethnic group, or other distinguishing characteristics.
Fair
Immigration Reform Movement
A project of the Center for Community Change led by low-income
immigrant and non-immigrant grassroots community organizations working
for immigration reform and immigrant rights.
Immigrant
Legal Resource Center
The ILRC is a national resource center that provides trainings,
materials and advocacy to advance immigrant rights. As a legal services
organization, the ILRC trains lawyers and paralegals on ever-changing
and complex immigration law. They develop leadership by encouraging immigrants
to play leading roles in confronting and reshaping the laws and policies
that perpetuate racial, economic and social injustice. And they educate
and empower those in the immigrant community so that they may organize
and advocate for the rights and privileges that best define our democratic
traditions.
Lesbian
and Gay Immigration Rights Task Force
Immigration Equality is a national organization that works
to end discrimination in U.S. immigration law, to reduce the negative
impact of that law on the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender
and HIV-positive people, and to help obtain asylum for those persecuted
in their home country based on their sexual orientation, transgender identity
or HIV-status. Through education, outreach, advocacy, and the maintenance
of a nationwide network of resources, they provide information and support
to advocates, attorneys, politicians and those who are threatened by persecution
or the discriminatory impact of the law.

Provides a compilation of data and facts from numerous
global organizations and governments, and global analysis of international
migration and refugee trends.
Migration
and Refugee Services
Carries out the commitment of the Roman Catholic bishops
of the United States to serve and advocate for immigrants, refugees, and
migrants, including the development and advocacy of policy positions at
the national and international levels; and working with the federal government
and local churches in resettling refugees admitted to the US.
National
Immigration Forum
A non-profit advocating and building support for public
policies that welcome immigrants and refugees and are fair and supportive
to newcomers in the United States. Very current immigration information,
including policy alerts.
National
Immigration Project
A national-level legal advocacy group specializing in defending
the rights of immigrants facing deportation and incarceration. Policy
updates are available on the homepage.

Network for Immigrant and Refugee Rights
A national alliance working to promote a just immigration
policy in the United States and to defend and expand the rights of all
immigrants and refugees, regardless of immigration status. Up to date
fact sheets and publications.

A campaign for immigration reform powered by strategic,
coordinated activities provided by a network of immigrant advocacy, grassroots,
religious and labor organizations across the U.S. Thorough list of current
research, immigrant stories and other resources.

Conference of Catholic Bishops Migration and Refugee Services
Migration and Refugee Services carries out the commitment
of the Roman Catholic bishops of the United States to serve and advocate
for immigrants, refugees, migrants, and people on the move.

Hate
Free Zone Washington
Supports and mobilizes targeted immigrant communities and
allies to work for human dignity and systemic change. Good source for
post-Sept 11th analysis and Seattle-based trainings and resources.
Northwest
Immigrants Rights Project
A non-profit working to advance the legal rights and dignity
of low-income immigrants in Washington State by pursuing and preserving
their legal status through legal representation, education and public
policy.
Government
As of March 1, 2003, the Immigration
and Naturalization Service was divided into separate agencies and transferred
from the Justice Department to the new Department of Homeland Security.
The new agencies separate immigration services and enforcement functions.
