Keep GMO Sugar Out of Your Food

Religious investors belonging to Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility (ICCR), including NWCRI have launched www.DontPlantGMOBeets.org to urge more than 60 leading food, beverage, restaurant and other companies to protect their brand, reputation and consumer confidence by opposing the spring 2008 planting of genetically modified sugar beets. The genetically modified sugar beet crop would be used to make the sugar consumed in thousands of the most widely consumed food products in the U.S.

2006-2007 Shareholder Season
NWCRI in collaboration with ICCR and our partners in the SRI movement filed 312 shareholder resolutions on social, environmental and corporate governance issues with 207 companies. 75 resolutions have been withdrawn for dialogue.
