Goal 1: Universal access to quality, affordable health care
- Low-wage workers for large corporations have access to quality, affordable health care coverage.
- The business community is actively engaged in expanding access to health care coverage.
- Increase access to prescription drugs while promoting affordability and rational use.
In 2006-2007 NWCRI has filed shareholder resolutions with and/or is engaged in dialogue with: Johnson & Johnson, Merck, Safeway, Target, Wal-Mart
Goal 2: Universal access to HIV prevention, treatment, and care by 2010
- Widespread access to AIDS medicines for children.
- Widespread access to generic AIDS drugs in middle income countries.
- Robust AIDS response by all companies doing business in Russia, India, China, southeast Asia and sub-Saharan Africa.
In 2006-2007 NWCRI has filed shareholder resolutions with and/or is engaged in dialogue with: Abbott, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Dell Computer, Gilead Sciences, Johnson & Johnson, Merck, PepsiCo, Pfizer.
