Solidarity embodies hope, and is indispensable in achieving the common good. Solidarity opens us to new knowledge and resets our moral and social compass in bringing about the common good.
M. Shawn Copeland is an Associate Professor of Theology at Boston College and author of Enfleshing Freedom: Body, Race and Being (Intersections in African American Theology).
